Just taking a few minutes to check in. Things are going well for me. Life has settled back into it's routine, and it's nice to be able to relax again.
I might be going to the Sun Valley Spanko's party tonight. I've never been to one before, and I'm thinking it'll be nice to get a cute little kink on tonight. Spankophiles are a different breed entirely than other hardcore kinksters. From what I gather (and if I get it wrong, it is not my intention in any way to show disrespect) most spankos are more into the domestic-type disciplines, whips and chains are nowhere to be found. Neither is typical "Domme" type apparel. I've heard that most of them will look at you askance if you mention bondage, or pain (other than the typical spanking/discipline variety). Role-play is a big part of this play, with the "top" assuming a role such as governess, babysitter, teacher, etc. Victorian themes and costuming are very popular in this crowd. Most of the play I've been exposed to has been the severe, typical BDSM stuff, so this will be a refreshing change of pace, I'm thinking.
If I do end up going, you can be sure I'll post a blog detailing my experiences.
